Our Story

Exceeding Expectations, One Patient at a Time

The Springdale Medical Centre was founded almost 30 years ago by two University of Toronto graduates who had both grown up in suburban neighborhoods in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). With a genuine understanding of the medical needs of immigrants and established families in these communities, they aimed to provide compassionate and comprehensive healthcare.

When the clinic was first built in 1995, its location was considered "farmland on the outskirts of Brampton." Over the years, it has become the medical backbone of a community of more than 200,000 culturally diverse people. Our physicians have looked after over 90,000 patients since inception, demonstrating our commitment to community health.

By remaining open through blizzards and statutory holidays, we have earned our patients' trust in the quality and consistency of care they find within our walls. Currently, we have more than 12,000 patients as part of our Family Health Group.

Springdale Medical Centre has also served as a teaching facility associated with the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine and the McMaster Medical Program, mentoring both undergraduate medical students and medical residents in their final years of training. More recently, we have provided opportunities for young Canadian graduates from international medical training programs to secure Canadian medical experience, helping them achieve their dream of completing medical residency at home in Canada.
